I made this card for my sister. Of course the inside says "get whale soon"!......lol. Thanks to my friend, TJ, I had the perfect paper.
I decided to give acetate a try after looking at a youtube video. I love the way this one turned out. Stayz-On is my "go to" ink pad.....lol. At first I tried embossing the acetate...that was definitely a "NO" for me. My card melted as soon as the heat hit it. I'll try again another day.
This birdhouse was definitely out of my comfort zone! I am finding out the more I do, the more I can do. It may take a couple of tries and a full trash can, but eventually I get it.....lol.
This one was easy! Me and my Cricut get along just fine.......lol.
I finally used the flowers that I had stuck in a bag, in a drawer. You know the ones that I wouldn't throw away because I was going to use them one day......lol. I know that I have had these tucked away for two or three years (if not longer)!
These cuts are the Scrappy Dew Get Well Soon set. I was so excited to put a real tissue in the box....lol.
Actually, this is an unfinished picture. With the suggestion of my friend, Queen Pam, I put more hearts in the jar. Still experimenting, I covered the jar with an acetate cut after decorating. It had that "glass" look when it was all finished. You can kind of see the shine in the picture. I printed the letters and cut out the squares (rounded the corners) with my Cricut and then covered the letters with Stickles. I had fun making this one.
I even had the opportunity to participate in a Tag Swap, hosted by Queen Pam over at SOC. This was my first and I found it to be a challenge, but I enjoyed it. For me, there is always that pressure when I am doing something for someone else.
Well, I'm off now to see what else I can come up with. Happy scrapping/card making/crafting!!!!!
