LOVE IS IN THE AIR!

Join the Valentine's Day Card Challene at Creative Cutting Challenge (http://www.creativecuttingchallenge.blogspot.com/).  My entry for this week is a Cupid card.  I used the Cupid and dressed him in embossing powder (using my Versamark pen) for the shorts, and stickles for the wings. The background paper is from the Recollections With Love pack.

I decided to give punching all corners a try with a Martha Stewart heart corner punch (YEAH!). I know many of you have been doing this for years, and I had tried it a long time ago (with no success).  But, now that I know the mechanics of the punch, I got it! 

The white hearts are covered with glitter flocking. And the bow/arrow were painted with a Krylon Silver paint pen.

After stamping the "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment, I decided to put a little Cupid on the inside of the card as well.

GETTING READY FOR VALENTINE'S DAY

Well, now the time is coming for the most "lovable" holiday of all - Valentine's Day!

The current challenge from Creative Cutting Challenge, http://www.creativecuttingchallenge.blogspot.com/, is for a Valentine, but not a card. I'm ready when it comes to making a scrapbook page or a card, but I had to really step out of my comfort zone to come up with something different this time. I was pleasantly surprised! I decided to give this coupon book a try. Of course the cuts were from Cut and Create! http://www.cutandcreate.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=86&sort=20a&page=2

The book measures 3 x 3 and the outside "binding" is duct tape. The inside coupons were created using my scalloped square nestabilities, embossed some of the backgrounds with my Cuttlebug, printed on some using my Cricut and the cri-kits gel pens.
