About Me

I have been scrapbooking for about eight years. I started by myself and have tried to teach myself most of the different techniques through the internet and other blogs. Now I have graduated to having my own scrapbook room and teaching SDU (Scrapbook Design University) classes! I decided to teach SDU classes to share my knowledge in order to make scrapbooking easier and to meet people with the same passion.

I think I do very simple pages and cards, even though I do go a bit overboard from time to time with the embellishments.....lol. I am a "gadget" person and I love working with my Cricut. Over the years I have acquired the Cuttlebug, Cricut Expression, Gypsy, Slice, and most recently, the Cricut Imagine.

I started this blog to share with everyone what I create. It is my goal to do my scrapbook pages and cards using all of the "scrap" paper I have in a box.....piling up! I am excited about getting to know more people and learning new things from each of you, so feel free to leave comments and/or suggestions.

It's time to start doing Christmas cards and I am ready! I made these cards using the Create a Critter and Christmas (downloaded on the Gypsy) cartridges. I can't wait to take some pics at Christmas so I can do some layouts!

Come, look with me inside this drawer
In this box I've often seen
At the pictures, black and white
Faces proud, still and serene.

I wish I knew the people
These strangers in the box
Their names and all their memories
Are lost among the socks.

I wonder what their lives were like,
How did they spend their days?
What about their special times?
I'll never know their ways.

If only someone would have taken time,
To tell who, what, and when,
Those faces of my heritage
Would come to life again.

Could this become the fate
Of the pictures we take today?
The faces and the memories
Someday to be tossed away.

Make time to save your pictures

Scrapbook Classes

GREAT NEWS! Scrapbook classes and crops are going on now! With the coupon the entire classes are only $27 and monthly crops are only $5! Missing Information

Well, what do you know? Today when I signed on all of the blogs that I follow have been deleted from my blog! I need to know how to get that back. The blogs I follow give me so much information, direction and great ideas!

I am so excited to announce that I am now a Certified Scrapbook Instructor for SDU. I will be teaching classes at Micheal's located on Hurstbourne. I will post the scheduled as soon as it becomes available. Finally, a job I love!

Card Making

I've been on a card making frenzy! My prior post gave info on sending cards to the troops, these are some of the cards that I made.

CARD DRIVE!

I am so excited! Finally, something to do with the cards that I make. Even though I am new to card making, I have been making cards and have nowhere to send them. Rachel, ab Back Porch Creations has solved that problem for me! She is hosting a card drive for our men and women serving in the military. Please visit her blog and participate in this.

Scrapbook Page

This is one of the first scrapbook pages that I did, and it happens to be one of my favorites. Now that I have graduated and have all kinds of new gadgets and embellishments, I'll see what else I can come up with. I am learning a lot from the blogs I follow and fellow scrappers and cardmakers.

I love all of the blogs that I follow. I am learning so much and getting some great ideas. Pretty soon I am going to start posting some of the cards that I have been making, and of course, some of the scrapbook pages that I will be doing. It's time for me to get back in the groove. The past couple of months I've been busy and lazy!

Great Site

Punches

Went to Hobby Lobby....purchased the Martha Stewart punches that allow you to punch all the way around the page.....AWESOME. My pages and cards are going to take on a whole new look. The corners line up perfectly so it really looks like I know what I'm doing........lol.

HAPPY EASTER!

Hello everyone, just wanted to post a note and wish everyone a HAPPY EASTER!

Today was great! I got to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather with my BFF. Of course we went to Hobby Lobby (my favorite place). So, now that I've got the Easter baskets made for my grands I'm going to spend the rest of the evening scrapping!
